Okay so Miyuki is super tall and I'm not into the SD type of dolls. Not yet...atleast.
Damien, Lila and all them are in the forty cm range and I'd like Miyuki to have at least 44cm legs or something. So could I take the forty cm obitsu legs and slap them on? Or is heavy modification in my sights? I can't afford the expensive new obitsu bodies. |

A new set of 40cm legs (not including the ankles, or hips which are the same on both 50 and 40cm) is gonna run pretty close to $90. Another option is to get the exterior vinyl parts for the 40cm (or maybe the 48cm depending on tastes) and shortening the knee posts to accommodate the new parts. This option will bring you down into the neighborhood of around $50 (little over actually).

Heavy modifications? Possibly. Obitsus as you probably know, have vinyl exterior parts over a hard plastic interior skeleton. The 50cm, 48cm, and 40cm bodies use nearly identical skeletal parts so your cheapest route to to shorter legs would be to purchase the exterior leg vinyls of the 40cm body (thighs RP40-WHG-03 and shins RP40-WHG-04). You would have to shorten the "bone" segments of the knee joint to match the shorter lengths of the leg vinyls. However before you cut any parts, I would recommend a "dry run" and just lay out the parts together to take a look at the new proportions. With the shorter legs you might find the torso and arms too long. |

Or sell the 50 cm and buy a shorter doll.

Yeah basically you'd have to do what Kiki-chan did to make Omi's body the size it is and it'd probably be cheaper just to buy a 44cm Obitsu.
